WebSMS... A handy widget to send free SMS through web services from Dashboard. Send free SMS with TIM, Vodafone, Alice, Virgilio/Tin, Enel (Italy), Callwave and GMX (Germany).

WebSMS is seamlessly integrated with the Mac OS X AddressBook. You can easily choose the recipient from a pull-down list of your mobile contacts.


WebSMS is based on a plug-in architecture and can be expanded to handle virtually any web SMS gateway. Its Open Source license allows everybody to contribute and develop other plug-ins. Source code is available for download on the widget page, with a thoroughly commented example plugin template.


The widget comes ready with some plug-ins: TIM, Vodafone, Alice, and Tin/Virgilio (Italy), GMX (Germany).
